Nail stamping and all that!

Since I have nothing better to do these days, I dived into the fantastic world of nail art/stamping. I must admit I was astonished at the level and vastness of the number of people involved in this endeavour.
There are amateurs and professionals out there - and they are all connected!

I shall begin, late one night whilst writing my thesis last year. I ventured into the world of one devoted nail polish-er. For a few months I would visit her site every other day and was delighted at the different manicures and swatches she would do - aesthetically pleasing. Soon i was bored and scrolled deeper into her blog and found others, from Canada to Turkey and in between (I can never find someone in Vic). As I discovered more of these bloggers, the level of swatches increased from Konad stamping to marbeling and complex detailing. It was too much to take in.

It's only been a week since I started to get addicted to polish and it's various avenues. I feel I must make my own 'Franken' to be part of this world - and if you think you have enough polish or 'all polishes are the same' think again!!!
There's chrome, metallic, matte, duo chromatic, multi-chromatic, holographic and spectraflair. OMG, i wanted to weep - how much more polish can I buy and where do I store them?. Plus no two holographic polishes are the same!

Disappointed that the US do not fly nail polish outside of the states, so I must settle buying from HK, China to Turkey. Thus I am broke (and mom thinks it's a waste of time). I've managed to impress my brother although he too thinks I have better things to do.

I am overwhelmed!

Here are my attempts are 1. cracking polish and 2. stamping.
