certainly livejournal differs from xanga. perhaps not in principle, no. but i'm sure it will take a fair amount of time to get used to a new interface. in the mean time, i may just keep this journal to myself. it'd be nice to have and maintain something that was my own, apart from the eyes and judgments of others. this ideal is never achieved, however, due in no small part to the fact that i slip into moments when i desperately want affirmation, to not feel alone, and it is these moments when i'm likely to slip some piece of information that will draw attention back to me, or control the conversation and focus to something i'm more comfortable with.
