Fuck Hurricanes
This weekend was artrocious. Saturday day was good, I went to Kings Dominion with Sharon, but the rest just fucking sucked. On my way to work Friday I had to float my car across the road in front of the marina, knowing that it was going to be closed by the time I got off work. We were pretty sure that when the power flickered at work we'd fried the main computer that all the others are networked too, but luckily it's still alive. The network didn't survive though. We'll have to get that reworked again. The cealing leaked in about six places, I shut my fingers in the door and managed to get half the network back up. I have no idea how I did that. Finally it's time to go home. I'm frustrated and tired, and already know i'm going to have to drive the half hour around BFE to get three miles down the road to my house. I get in my car and my battery is dead. My boss's husband ends up having to go buy jumper cables because out of the three cars, none of us could find our set. He finally gets back and we end up standing in the pooring rain for 20 mintues trying to jump my car. Finally it cooperates. I thank him profusely. My defrost doesn't work so I have to drive home soaking wet with the a/c on full blast to see where i'm going. I get home to have to sit in the dark with my mother because the electricity is out. Power finally came back on late Sunday afternoon. If you tried to talk to me friday, shit wasn't going good. Either the phone was somewhere else, I didn't have time to answer it, or I really just didn't want to deal with your shit. Figure it out for yourself.
Tuesday I have to start teaching orientations.
Friday I go to Baltimore. 3am Monday I catch the shuttle from my aunt's house to the airport. 5am I get to the airport. 7am the plane takes off. 9am I land in California. I ride the shuttle an hour to the hotel. 4pm (if my roomate has arrived) I can check into the hotel. I catch a plane back at 11pm Saturday. I land in Baltimore at 7am Sunday. I drive the four hours home as soon as they'll let me escape, as I've got to be at work Monday.
So basically, i'll see you guys in a couple of weeks. Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday I'll be at work until at least 9pm, and i'm headed to my aunt's after work Friday.
