nails: Picture Polish Ultra Violence
I haven't used this polish much since I got it over a year ago, but I thought this was a nice combo.
Base (purple): Picture Polish Ultra Violence x2 coats
Base (silver): Nubar Gem x1 coat over Maybelline Latte x1 coat
Top: Sally Hansen Insta-Dri Anti-Chip Top Coat x1 coat
In lamp light.
Loved Ultra Violence for the name, and the polish is pretty nice. It's a little sheer with 2 coats but should be opaque with 3 or a solid base layer. It leans a bit more blue/violet in sunlight. There's a mixture of fine sparkles and larger pink hexagonal glitter that have a slight holographic shine.
Gem I've used before, and thought it'd be a nice contrast for the deep purple. It needs a skin-toned layer underneath otherwise it looks too greyish.
Moral of the story: A nice glittery purple.
