Another polish I did several weeks ago but didn't feel like writing a post about.
Base: Kleancolor Americano x2 coats
Top: Sephora by OPI Eve-y on the Eyes x1 coat
In natural light.
You can see I was trying to go for the tape style again like
this one, except I was too impatient with letting the Americano dry and my tape totally wrecked it (Exhibit A: botched job on the pinky). In my desperate attempt to fix it, I went FUCK IT, I'll just draw the lines myself.
So I did. And the lines came out reasonably steady on my left hand (since I'm right-handed). They're wonkier on the other hand, but only if you really pay attention. It doesn't have that super straight finish that a tape would achieve, but on the plus side, you can skip the long wait time. (I'm aware of Seche Vite, but don't feel like buying it.)
Americano is a pale gold or silvery gold colour that is quite metallic and shimmery. It's a bit watery but you can build it up to moderate opacity on the 2nd coat. Does take some time to dry, though. Eve-y on the Eyes is a decent purple, good formula as expected from OPI, and other than that I haven't much to say since I only used a bit of it.
When I look at this colour combo, I may have been subconsciously thinking of chocolate.
Moral of the story: Freehand lines can look decent too!
