It's nothing, nothing at all. I'm just...ummm...how do I put it without sounding really weird? After my parents died I was told about the Grim Reaper; you know, the skeleton in a robe? I kind of...developed a really big fear of him and things involving death in general, that's all.

There seem to be issues occurring all over the journals about privacy. This must be one of those infamous Hogwarts' tricks that Maka told me about.

Oh, so now journals can let other people invade your privacy, too. That's just great. No wonder I kept a second journal for personal stuff.

...Your dad? You're telling me you think the Grim Reaper sounds like your dad? Sorry, Kiddo, but I don't think he's a walking skeleton...unless you mean in the metaphorical sense.

Ohhh, no. No, no, no. Not at all. Try to look at it from my point of view: my parents, who have been dead for a large majority of my childhood, suddenly come back frothing and spitting about the choices I've made in my life. This is one of my worst nightmares.

There are three people arguing and arguing and arguing. I'm not used to arguments since I've only lived with my cat for about...oh, two years, so this is already taking a toll on my nerves in addition to the whole "DEAD PEOPLE IN PROXIMITY, RUN AWAY!" reaction. Suddenly, when a turbulent truce has been called, you and your dad come into the picture seemingly out of nowhere.

Now I'm wondering "what can I do? My nerves are shot, I'm about to have a panic attack here, I can't have a breakdown here and now, that's just not appropriate for a teacher."

So! I do the only thing I can think to do at the moment: I retreat and make something to calm myself down. My reaction has nothing to do with your dad himself, he seemed like a nice guy.

The Grim Reaper is one of the many names he's known by, so it's not terribly far a stretch. Particularly with the skull mask he wears and his black cloak. That and the fact that his name is Death.
