So when I read the pairing of ShigePi and then saw the name Tomoaki, I SERIOUSLY thought it was Shige and Pi's kid lol

Ok, my ShigePi enthusiasm aside, this was SO GOOD. Like...how do I describe what I'm thinking...?

I like how it's set into the future and we see various glimpses of Shige's past and future life (ie: Uncle Koyama and zomg UNCLE YAMAPI), mentions of Shige's nikki and Wagahai *flails* and how all that was passed onto his son, the Pirate King. And I cannot possibly forget the sayaendo reference and of course the use of One Piece.

It all flowed really well~ From being introduced to this little boy and seeing what the little boy sees in his father and how we can piece together what happened, what is happening and what will happen to Shige and Yamapi. I almost died when you ended it with Tomoaki's entry on how ShigePi said goodbye, but your epilogue made up for it. ok, who doesn't love such a text message and who doesn't love Shige fighting with kids for dessert and Koyama bopping Shige for being a child

Let's just say the name Tomoaki was intentional ;D

I had a lot of fun putting in the past references. I actually didn't think of connecting it to Sayaendou and One Piece until later on. And Koyama just HAD to make an appearance, at least to make fun of Shige XD

Hmmmm ShigePi.....I kind of approve of this, which surprises me as I am a KoyaShige girl normally,, but maybe because we get the feeling that Koyama is scuccessful and happy and still a huge part of Shige's life, I can accept the ShigePi. I loved Tomoaki who was sweet and clever and not annoying or precocious but lovable and observant. Loved the way he was so happy over Sayaendou. Loved the way he saw Shige and Pi interacting, and he tried to make sense of it. Let's hope that Pi keeps his word and tries again. Lovely fic!

:D I am glad you approve. I really enjoyed the process of writing this, figuring out what works for the pairing, making sense of the universe and of course creating Tomoaki, he's the best.

This was really different, I really liked the point of view you used for the fic, the simplicity of it was really great.

For some reason I just loved the idea of Shige as a dad, and Tomoaki...he was adorable XD

I really liked Tomoaki's compositions, relating everything to pirates, and that one Peice reference was absolutte Win. All boys get excited about one peice XD
