Yeah, it's been awhile.
I don't even remember what happened since last time. I guess I've been busy, but I'm not sure.
Things I Do category
I pulled a bunch of all nighters this semester, which is cool. I kindof liked it, especially after I discovered that Bawlz energy drinks are delicious instead of disgusting like all other energy drinks how in the

* No, sitting in stupidly congested traffic while everybody ELSE merges. It turns out that having a long or frustrating commute to work is a significant negative predictor of overall satisfaction with life, even controlling for things like the fact that rich people commute further because they have sweet houses in the hills. Commuting sucks, and it is worth money to not do it.
* A commute is short if it is under 15 minutes...it's 30 from my place last year into the city (without traffic). My awesomenesses were more or less people to hang out with and events. For instance, random_vamp is a lot of fun to traipse around the city with. Also, piratechan lives north of the city, and is also fun to visit. At 30 minutes away, trips to the city can be spontaneous. Driving from Palo Alto, they're adventures of the afternoon and evening. Driving from San Jose, they're planned day-long trips. So an evening trip up for dinner is implausible. Meanwhile, the best mini-golf and the theater are in Sunnyvale, but the awesome culture is in the city, and yeah.
* Last year's place was 30 minutes from the city, so it was mine to visit...I could go up for dinner. You have to sort of live there to have it. It was perfect, though, because I could also go to Mountain View just as easily...Andrea Knight makes brunch some weekends, and they are a true objective awesomeness...and they start at 11:30, so a 15-minute drive means I could do that, too, without having to wake up stupidly early and drive pre-caffeinated.
* Yay! ...I secretly want to live in the area, so I'm doing my best to promote everyone I know moving there and enjoying it and everything.
