I have 4 web sites which are a part of the
USGenWeb Project, one of the major research resources for genealogists - 3 for counties in Indiana, 1 in Maryland. About a year ago we moved our Indiana county sites to another server, and that was NOT fun! Now, we have to do it again! Two of the counties were easy as they are small, but the other one is large and is taking much longer.
We had too many files on the server we are using right now so we had to find one that allowed more as the sites are constantly growing. We weren't given much notice that this had to be done, and it''s about all I've had time to do the last day or two. And not feeling good on top of it. I just hope I get everything transferred okay.
I found a bunch of bad links on a few census index pages that took a day and half to fix (as slowly as I'm moving). I'll be so glad when it's done and hope we don't ever have to do it again!
I took a break from it last night to watch an old Bette Davis movie that I had recorded on DVR, It got almost to the end but did I see how it ended? NO. The stupid thing cut off the ending right after Bette Davis crashed her car! Did she die? Probably, otherwise she would have had to go to prison.
