Ahahaha!!

I woke up today with a massive headache, and a sore throat.  That's two of the symptoms of swine flu, for the paranoid. I don't think I have a fever though, which is a good sign.  That'd be just bloody typical though, after the week I've had, to come down with the swine flu (or even any kind of flu) just in time for the weekend.  I'm actually starting to laugh at the absurdity of just what can go wrong now.  All I need to do is lose a limb or something and that'll be the icing on a rather big cake!

In other news, the vet thinks Napoleon may have the start of kidney problems.  That's ok though, because my old cat, Cheesy Miles (yes, don't laugh!) had the same, and he lived to about 17 we think (we picked him up as a sort of stray and could only guess at his age).  It's not the end of the word.  We currently have to administer antibiotic drops in case of an infection, and he's loving those.  Well not really--CB has to hold him while I drop them into his mouth, then he dribbles for about 15 minutes after and I have to chase him round the kitchen with a piece of kitchen towel, wiping up the drool.  The joys of animal ownership!  He's actually eating and drinking now though, which is good.

Those paracetamols should be kicking in any time soon...

ETA:  The cricket icon has no relevance, apart from the Fourth Ashes Test starts today at Headingly, and a little bit of Stuart Broad always makes me smile :)

random aches and pains, cricket, my cat
