Good things...(with an additional 'thank you nonny'!)

You know when you have a day where everything just goes well? I had one of those days yesterday. There was nothing particularly spectacular about it, it was just a wonderful day.

First of all I found out that I won the SyLuke challenge for the second time in a row, and got this gorgeous banner made by perdiccas. Look at it, it's lovely!

It was a really close run thing too, because Jaune_Chat's fic Becoming the Master  was totally awesome. Thank you to everyone who voted for me...now, get your arses in gear and enter challenge 5!

Then, some glorious nonny gave me an randomly evil duck:

I suspect they know me....thank you my gorgeous, generous nonny!

I also managed to clean my house from top to bottom, which is no mean feat because my house was a total mess.  I also washed Duncan (my car) because it was a gloriously sunny day (as is today, funnily enough.  This week has been wonderful weather-wise) and he was filthy from driving up and down the motorway all the time.  He is now absolutely sparking, with virtually no evidence of the run-in I had with a parked car last Thursday.  Phew!

Then Carmexboy and me went to a Creperie, where I had a garlic mushroom and cheese galette which was lovely, followed by the best ice cream I have probaby ever had.  It was strawberry, served in a waffle-cone, and it had actualy frozen strawberry pieces in it.  Yum!  After that, we walked around this row of shops, laughed at the prices in the kitchen shop--there was a cat bowl for sale, for 39.99!--before finding a little traditional sweet shop where we bought a quarter of pineapple rock, some popping candy and some sherbert Dip-Dabs, because goddammit I love sherbert!  It's funny, last week we went to Cafe Rouge for dinner, this week to the Creperie...it's like we've gone French all of a sudden.  It's have to be fish and chips (minus the cartastic chips though) next week or something, just to make up for the deviation.

After that we came home, watched a Stephen Chow film (it was kind of middling, with only a minor amount of kung-fu) and an episode of Chuck, which happened to have loads of kung fu in which was awesome! Then I managed to finish my Sweet Charity fic, bar some editing and a but more description.  Hurrah!!

So that was it, random goodness.  I love days like that.  They should really happen more often
