I'm going to this on Thursday!
Blurb from the website: "Inspired by an initial exhibition at Galerie Arludik in Paris, Assassin’s Creed: The Exhibition is coming to Montréal. It will feature a brand new series of concepts arts depicting the world of Assassin’s Creed, Assassin’s Creed II, and Assassin’s Creed Brotherhood. Indeed, art fans and gamers will discover over twenty artworks created in Montreal by illustrators at the Ubisoft studio, where Assassin’s Creed games are produced and developed. Created in the initial stages of a game’s development, concept arts materialize a game’s artistic vision and inspire its world."
Considering how long I've been an art student, it's quite shameful how few exhibitions, galleries, and shows I've been to, especially since Montréal is one of the places to go to museums and stuff. FOR SHAME. D': (I did, however, go to a pretty big Warhol exhibit! POINTS. Then again, it was for class.)
A couple of months ago, I went to a Jenny Holtzer exhibit at a nice gallery by the Old Port, with a friend I met in Fine Arts in college. Holtzer's stuff is largely conceptual, which I can dig, but it just doesn't do it for me the way other, more "concrete" visual art does. But have you ever seen her neon text displays? It'll blow your mind and break your brain AT THE SAME TIME.
Anyway, I am obviously super-excited about the AC exhibit because COME ON. ASSASSIN'S CREED. CONCEPTS. UBISOFT.
DID I MENTION ASSASSIN'S CREED.
ALSO AC: BROTHERHOOD IS OUT ASDFGHJKL CAN I GET IT NOW.
