advent update
my friends have dragged my into the modern world with a kindle. I love it. I have the complete works of St. Theresa and St. John of the Cross, Brother Lawrence, Elizabeth of the Trinity, two Bibles and a number of other works on it. It's great to instantly have access to all these books wherever I am without the weight I'd have to pack in my backpack. (ok, I admit it I also have a substantial collection of fantasy books)
In January the community will be starting to study St. Theresa's Foundations. We'll also continue with Deus Caritas Est. I'm looking forward to that class. We've begun discussing social justice issues. It promises to be an intense class.
I've just started attending monthly meetings with the prayer shawl ministry at Our Lady of Grace. I've always wanted to learn to crochet. I'm loving it. The ladies are all in or near my age group and we have so much fun as we work on our pieces.
I don't know if I'll post again before Christmas, so if not, I pray that all of you will have a grace filled Christmas.
