nano 2010
well, I made it to the upper 20k field for nanowrimo this year. Unfortunately I won't be winning again this year. le sigh. still it was worth the effort and I hope to start again in one of the monthly or seasonal writes.
I hit a major depression cycle in the first week of october and it has been two months of up and down. that is part of what accounts for my not finishing nano this year. it didn't help that the story bombed out. I plan to scrap most of it and start over with something new for the next effort. I've started a writing only LJ under the name kierankaine in case anyone wants to take a peek at my scribblings.
I just started reading Taggerung by Brian Jacques. It's my first reading of a book in the redwall series. I'm enjoying it so far but I really wish he didn't use so much ethnic/accented speech for his creatures. I have a hard time making out what they're supposed to be saying. Note to self: don't do this in your own writing!!!
I am also working my way through Imitation of Mary by thomas kempis. I recieved it as a gift from a friend. I guess its ok, but not nearly as inspiring or enjoyable as Imitation of Christ.
