A Different Kind Of Picspam
I bring you a picspam! But a different kind than you've probably ever seen.
For those of you who may not know, I'm Indian-American. As in, I was born in India but I was raised in America. So I grew up watching both American (Hollywood) and Indian (Bollywood) movies. I hated Indian movies when I was younger because I couldn't totally understand them but ever since they started coming out on DVD (with English subtitles) I was hooked! Now I can't seem to get enough of them.
So I thought I'd share my love of Bollywood Actors, Actresses and Movies with you guys. Even if you don't care just check it out anyways because it has gorgeous eye candy and everybody loves that!
The first one I'm doing is of my favorite actors & actresses. The guys are hot and the girls are beautiful so I hope you'll enjoy it :)
10. Rani Mukherjee
The Sweetheart. One of the kindest actresses around. Her acting is phenomenal and her unique personality elevates all of her characters.
09. Zayed Khan
The Bad Boy. Well, that's what the media calls him and I can't disagree because he actually does portray that image on and off the screen. Besides, it was nearly impossible for me to find a pic of him not wearing sunglasses.
08. Arjun Rampal
The Eye Candy. I have no talent oriented reason for putting Arjun, a model turned actor, on this list because I've never seen a single one of his movies. But he's nice to look at isn't he? That's all that really matters ...
07. Kajol
The Girl Next Door. She's beautiful, she's talented and she's very down to earth. Kajol is the typical Indian girl who has fun and breaks the boundaries but never does anything too provocative. She's also humble and takes her fame in stride.
06. Vivek Oberoi
The Puppy Dog. Vivek can be described with one word: adorable. Every time he's on screen I want to hug him and pat his head. Plus he does a lot of charity work and helps others as much as he can. The media picks on him all the time and is always spreading false rumors but I think they're just jealous that he's dating Aishwarya Rai, who's pretty much the gem of India.
05. Preity Zinta
The Ray of Sunshine. Her smile lights up every scene she's in and every actor/actress she's worked with says she's bouncy and happy almost all the time. She brings a charisma to her movies that make them impossible not to watch and enjoy. She oozes talent in all genres including comedy, drama and action but it's her personality that really sells it.
04. Aishwarya Rai
The Beauty Queen. My favorite Bollywood actress. She's drop dead gorgeous and famous all over the world but she stays true to her roots and refuses to forget her culture. If you haven't seen her yet, I can guarantee you will very soon. She's already been on Oprah, Letterman and 60 minutes and now that's staring in her first Hollywood movie, "The Last Legion" with Colin Firth and Sir Ben Kingsley, you can be sure to see her everywhere. But thing I love the most about her is her strength. She's not afraid to take on new challenges and she doesn't sink to the level of the tabloids that are constantly plaguing her (and Vivek). No matter what they say about her, her movies or her relationship, she continues to hold true to her vow that she will not discuss her personal life. Go, Ash!
03. Hrithik Roshan
The Rugged Hero. But he's really much more than that. Hrithik is one of the best dancers I have ever seen, one of the top action heroes in Bollywood and one of the most popular romantic leads. When he broke out into the movie scene, the fans went absolutely nuts! He went from a nobody to a superstar practically overnight. And he deserves every bit of his success. He works tirelessly on every scene and is a self-pronounced perfectionist. He chooses his scripts carefully and picks roles that will challenge him and help him grow.
02. Shahrukh Khan
The Charismatic Lover. Shahrukh is not at all handsome but his personality and onscreen charisma makes every girl who watches his movies fall in love with him, nonetheless. I couldn't understand other people's infatuation with him until I actually started watching his movies. He is just ... wow. The attraction is really hard to explain but the moment you watch him you'll totally understand. He has improved and changed with the times and I can guarantee that he'll be around for a long time to come.
01. Amitabh Bachchan
The Legend. Amitabh is the uncontested king of Bollywood. He has his hands in every part of the movie business and makes appearances is hundreds of movies, shows and other events every year. I have no idea how he keeps up with his ridiculously busy schedule because he always seems to be working. And of course, he is loaded with talent. Every movie he is in and every role he has played completely blows me away. He's like George Clooney, Brad Pitt, Sean Connery & Ian McKellen all rolled into one. Long may he reign!
