Denny Duquette picspam/recap (Part Two)
For your continued viewing pleasure and my guilt-driven need to make a tribute for the dirtiest sweetest-man-alive, Denny Duquette here's part two. Don't worry, I've resized the caps so it's easier for dial-up users. Enjoy!
Episode 22 - Name Of The Game
aka the one in which Izzie lets Denny smell her (sounds weird but is utterly romantic in the way it happens)
So what is the cause for this intense look of concentration? Figuring out the bed's remote control buttons? Reading up on heart procedures? An organic chemistry problem maybe?
Scrabble!
Yes. Izzie is knitting (I'm so surprised that she pull that off without looking like a total dork!) while she and Denny are playing scrabble (again). Though Denny doesn't seem to think so since he says "Woman, I'm beating the pants off you. Pay attention!". But the point of all this is for Izzie to reveal that she has taken a celibacy vow.
"You took a vow of celibacy?"
"How am I suppose to get into your pants if you took a vow of celibacy? "
"That is a very inappropriate thing to say to your doctor."
"Oh, you know what is inappropriate? Promising sexual favors to a patient in order to get him to live and then backing out.
" Denny Duquette! I so never, ever promised -"
"- in my head you did" Okay can we just pause for a moment and stare at this picture because every inch of his face, very wrinkle and muscle is screaming DIRTY! Now that is pure, raw skill. Oh, how I adore Jeffrey Dean Morgan.
"Don't worry. You weren't very good."
"You know what, I was being nice. I was letting you win because you're Mr. Sick-Needs-A-New-Organ-Guy but just for that comment -
- I'm gonna kick your ass."
And to erase any negative feelings that conversation might have brought up in Izzie or the viewers, Denny gives the most innocent and childish grin I have ever seen on a forty year old man. *swoons*
Ta-da. Izzie has finished an entire sweater in one episode.
Denny takes a big whiff (because Izzie tells him she wore it for three hours) and ...
here come the dirty thoughts...
Don't think naughty thoughts. Don't think naughty thoughts. *bites lip and says dirty thoughts out loud instead*
"Just show me one boob."
Episode 23 - Blues For Sister Someone
aka the one in which Izzie and Denny share the sexiest hug ever shown on television (really!)
Denny gets checked up on by Dr. Bailey (who is senior to Izzie and will not accept their doctor-patient relationship). They discuss getting Denny a portable something or other so he can start walking around.
And Izzie stupidly interrupts them
Come on, Denny! You're suppose to be hiding your relationship with Izzie not staring at her dreamy eyed while she tells you "don't be stupid".
Or saying stuff like "You're not the boss of me today, woman." Even though it is extremely sexy...
So Meredith and Bailey get him hooked up
But things go wrong...(as always)
Bailey saves the day and Meredith stops to talk to Denny about Izzie.
OMG. The lip wetting again! (Destined to play Papa Winchester I'm telling you!)
They both come to the conclusion that telling Izzie that she's putting her job in jeopardy by developing feelings for him will not change her mind.
Besides Denny says, "The things I remember best [about my life] well, those are the things I wasn't suppose to do and I did them anyway [...] Life is too damn short to be following these rules."
And he shows up in the doorway wearing his snazzy new portable thing-y and looking totally smoldering.
Why yes, I am sexy. Just look at my messy hair, and my stubble and my lopsided grin. And the dimples. Don't forget the dimples.
And Izzie jokes that his pack "seems so last fall."
But Denny knows she's just masking her feeling so he steps closer
and closer
and yay!
"You're tall"
"I know."
And we all feel our hearts puddle at our feet and even hard-nosed Bailey decides to turn and walk away instead of ratting them out when she catches them.
That is the power of love!
