mom update
I'm headed to bed like a healthy person tonight! But just wanted to give a quick mom update.
The news is that she came through surgery just fine. She's already off her IV and up walking around, in fact. She'll be going home tomorrow and I'm headed down this weekend to spend some time.
What's next: chemo in 3-4 weeks, low dosage since they don't think her cancer had spread past the lymph nodes. Her spirits are high...it's amazing how she can see the bright side in everything. She's actually excited that after she loses her hair, maybe it will grow back curly like she's always wanted! Hey, whatever keeps her up.
