In which I have a lovely time but am a halfwit

Went to stay with my friend H in Leeds for the weekend because it was her birthday. There was a plane with propellors that had its own steps because it's so low to the ground you don't need the big wheely ones. It was very loud but a) got into the sky, b) stayed there and c) got out of the sky safely which is pretty much all that matters.

It was so lovely to see H on her birthday and we did girly chat and vegged and talked and giggled and mooched. On Saturday we shopped in the big city and then went out for a *really* nice meal at a place called Stroom in Pudsey which I strongly recommend.

Got to bed about 2am and H and C dropped me at the airport at 9am this morning and I wandered in and looked at the departure boards and my flight to Brizzel was not on it. Not a hint. So just before I stropped over to the desk and said 'Where is my plane?' I checked my booking. Today is 1 February. I was due on the 9.55 flight on 31 January. This is not good. There was then bus stupidity so H had to drive back and rescue me and take me to the station in Leeds to get the train to Bristol. And then I have to get the bus to the airport to get my car. And then drive home to find the electricity had gone off because I forgot to money on the meter before I left.

Precis: Friday and Saturday were ace, today was (on the whole) a bit rubbish :-)
