- beaumont:
Beaumont are a sophisticated pop group on Siesta Records. Their sound varies drastically from album to album. They just recently released a new CD called "no time like the past," which has a country feel to it, whereas past recordings have leaned towards bossa nova and bacharach.

A power pop band that was formed by singer-songwriter, Steve Ward. The band has been defunct for a couple of years, but Steve continues to release solo albums that are absolutely gorgeous, like 2004's, "See and Be Seen."

I feel a very strong bond with Donald Fagen. He is the lead singer for the band, Steely Dan. He graduated from Bard college with a degree in English and subsequently earned his doctorates in music from the Berkely School of music. The songs he writes defy categorization, are very cryptic and always groove. I hold this man in such high regard that it is very difficult for me to articulate my feelings. Donald Fagen, along with Burt Bacharach, is God.

Henry Mancini has scored some of the best film soundtracks from the 20th century, including, "Breakfast at Tiffany's," "Arabesque," "Pink Panther," and "Peter Gunn." He is a master of arranging, melody, counterpoint, and musicality. He is up there with Bacharach... A little jazzier!

One of the most moving motion pictures of our time. Roberto Benigni is brilliant and this movie should be in everyone's collection. - nice system:
The side project from the guys in Remington Super 60. Nice System, in my opinion, are a better band than Remington Super 60. They have cool cover art, whistling and song titles like "Elevator Disco Express!" yay! - rita calypso:
Rita Calypso is the queen of bossa nova on Siesta Records. Her albums have wonderful cover art, perfect arrangements and beautiful songs. Her voice is vulnerable, and yet powerful at the same time. "Apocalypso" is an album suitable for every tea party.

Another band on Siesta Records. Very nice stuff... Their EP "Words You Whisper" is gorgeous and worth checking out. They are pretty popular in Japan.

An interesting band. I have only heard two of their songs, but they really caught my attention. They are on my "to buy" list. The album art for "The Affair" is some of the best album art ever. Their music sounds like a film soundtrack. Visit their website to hear some songs!
www.easyaccessorchestra.com - uniquely beautiful faces:
I like it when girls have distinct features that make them unique. I like it when uniquely beautiful faces are placed on covers to albums. (since I mentioned album art SO much already)
