i really wanted to go to Amsterdam, and I think Marc thought it would be cool, but we couldn't work out the details...next time...have you been?

After high school I went on the whole "backpacking through Europe" trip with my best friend and Amsterdam was our final stop. It's literally a different world there. An average afternoon would be walking over to a coffee shop, ordering some hash or pot from the menu, getting high, going for a walk (It is BEAUTIFUL THERE, there are canals running through many of the streets), looking at girls sitting in little windows, and enjoying whatever music is being blasted out of some coffee shop or bar. It was quite an experience.

Yea, we were seriously considering that possibility, but these cities worked out perfectly on our way back to Frankfurt.

I went to the Netherlands last summer though (actually spent more time in Den Bosch than Amsterdam) ... it is a cool country.
