SO I'm having nice bonding time with my brother and watching STXI on my laptop while my mom just listens while reading her book. Spock walks onto the jellyfish ship, and delivers the line, "something something more complicated than I have anticipated."
To which my mom replies, "He means, I'm more gay than I have anticipated."
My mother has decided that ZQ is gay after watching the movie and the blooper reel. That is all. I have yet to show her the large gay displays of affection bromance fest that is his other interviews. I'm so proud...
Which of course lead to me asking if she was talking about Spock or Quinto, and she was all O_0 Spock's not gay! And I was all, um kirkandspockwerebasicallymarriedinTOS kthnx.
She conceded that point after I explained what t'hy'la is.
*sigh* The best part about Thanksgiving is being around people who love you enough to not mention the fact that you're a big fat nerd understand your Trek obsession.
