I know this isn't really a topic one would talk about, but since there are black people here... anyone know books/sites about going natural with the hair? I tried looking but I just don't have the right search words.

Hey, I'll share my info if you share yours. Early 90s saw a resurgence of the "Don't cover up your kinkin', be happy with your nappy" mindset (Diggable Planet lyric) and all the black hair magazines had articles on twisting and stuff you could do w/natural hair of all consistencies. Maybe you could find back issues? I know only big cities like NY, LA, & SF you're gonna find anything. The millenium brought back the fried, dyed, and laid to the side look. I use a twist gel and get these ringlett thingies, my daughter dreds. (Too much work for me!) Lil sister twists or fros... looks great!
