RIP Kami-san

 Today, June 21 2009, is the 10th anniversary of the death of 神村右狂 Kamimura Ukyou. AKA 'Kami', he was the drummer for the influential Japanese rock/pop/goth/classical/etc band Malice Mizer, joining in 1993. With their unique sound and songwriting abilities, Malice Mizer became one of the most popular and in-demand groups, appearing on many TV shows, movies, live concerts and interviews. . . . . . . . . . . . . . However, tragically, Kami passed away in his sleep of a subarachnoid hemorrhage (brain bleeding) at the age of 26 in 1999. He was extremely skilled, having practiced drumming 5 hours a day throughout high school. Kami also loved calligraphy, butterflies of all sorts and had very long, well-kept hair (see userpic). Rest in peace.
