So I got an interview for the SIEO job I last posted on. Shannon, the women in charge of hiring for the position, called me and informed me of the interview and then emailed me a question that they want me to prepare and answer for.
In addition to the standard interview questions, we’d also like you to be prepared to discuss the following:
Develop a proposal for a new service project to be offered through SIEO. This can be a one-time or ongoing service project. The project should be focused on addressing one of the largest problems we have in Portage County - poverty. In your proposal, please include an overview of the service project and how you will recruit students to participate.
I haven't thought a lot about it yet but I'm hoping I can get some insight from a few people. One being all of you :)
So far my ideas are something with Habitat for Humanity or some sort of food drive or help with heating assistance. I want to work with a program that's already created. So I'm doing some research on programs that are already going on in Portage county to see whats out there and maybe partner up with one of them.
As for how I would let students know about it my main ideas are posters, facebook (i'm going to find a stat on how many college students use facebook to prove its a legit way to get students attention) and focus on the dorms, because on campus students are more likely to get involved.
So those are my ideas, any ideas you have?
Also, I am sick. I don't know what I have. I have been getting these intense headaches lately, they are possibly migraines. I can't move because my head just pounds and I get sick feeling. After my math class yesterday I slept from 5 - 10:30 this morning. I got up twice for like 20 mins and couldn't eat or anything. Today I feel better but still don't feel right. It could just be a flu bug thats going around. Hopefully it's over with.
I have a psych assessment test tomorrow... annoying. I hate that class.
