Sick baby

Guess it's been a while since I wrote a proper entry... there's not really too much going on anyways. Matt did have the weekend off, and I'd say we spent it doing the best thing we possibly could: being with our baby. We took him to a farm, went on a hayride and explored a huge cornmaze. Carter had a blast even though it got chilly and he had a cold.

Actually, I'm still not sure what he had...it might have even been thrush, but he seems better today and he never seemed to really be suffering. I kept saying I'd wait it out before taking him to the doctor, because he was acting pretty normal and sleeping fine, no fever or anything. His voice sounded different, a little hoarse like he had a sore throat. But I think the worst of it is over, and the doctor won't be necessary. I hope. I don't like watching them poke at him, and that will all be a waste if it turns out to be a measly cold, you know?

I'm worried about a friend. She is going through something that I could never possibly understand, though I do empathize and wish the best for her situation. She is the last person to deserve what is happening to her family. I hope she knows how much I admire her for being so brave and strong despite all her struggles. I love you Jay! Hang in there hun! <3

I took my midterm last week for my real estate class, and I haven't figured out my grade yet, but I am really confident that I got an A. There were only a couple tricky questions, and I checked the book after the exam to see if I chose the right answers, and it appeared that I did. I know I have a firm grasp on the material. The teacher even told me I was the best student in the class and always turns to me to answer questions in class when nobody else has a clue. I love challenging my mind and earning respect for working hard.

Matt should be climbing out of the shower soon, so I will be off now to hang out with my lovely husband... we're out of movies to watch, but I'm sure we can find something to do ;o)
