Matt and I have been talking about this for a very long time, but we finally did it...we bought a car to replace my Saturn! In fact, we are going to pick it up tonight when he gets out of work, so I am super excited! Matt's mom found it for us and we went to look at it a couple days ago.
It is a 2000 Mercury Sable in gold, really luxurious and classy looking. It also drives really smooth & quiet, leather interior, moon roof, 12-disc cd player, brand new brakes, and many other features about the engine & stuff that I probably wouldn't report right, so I'm not even going to bother. Honestly, I am clueless about cars. But I do know that this one is gorgeous and perfect for us. Lots of room for the kiddo & groceries, air conditioner that actually works, and it looks nice so I won't have to be embarrassed when I'm driving around showing houses. I can't wait to drive it for the first time!
Other than that, a few other cool things are going on with us... like the fact that Barb & Mike dropped off our wedding pictures and they are amazing! They even printed them all out and put them in order in a big white album. Pretty generous considering they did everything free of charge for our wedding gift. Looking through it almost made me cry because it was such a beautiful day, so many memories.
I start my real estate class on Wednesday... surprisingly, I'm not the least bit nervous. I think this is my calling, I really do. This is the first time I felt this confident about a career prospect. And Bill even talked to his aunt (who is an agent) about me, and she said that maybe once I get my license she can help find me a job! Is that awesome or what!? Anyways, Matt and I are going to get my books in the morning, taking the new car of course :o)
I guess I still haven't updated about the honeymoon, but I don't have the time now, and you guys probably know what happened anyway *lol*
Oh yeah, and we went to Michigan Adventure yesterday and had a blast... Carter stayed with grandma because he is still a bit young to enjoy the park, so Matt & I met up with my family there after some drama. I had fun almost dying in the wave pool, riding Grand Rapids and Funnel of Fear for the first time, and of course Shivering Timbers. I am a roller coaster whore. But most of all, I had fun being with Matt...it's a great feeling being able to kiss on your best friend all day <3
Now we just gotta get that Saturn off our hands...anyone interested on a '92 white Saturn that gets great gas mileage? (can't say much else good about it besides that it looks decent and runs okay) I mean, it got me back & forth to Lansing a billion times, so it can't be that bad.
Alright, he'll be here any minute so I'm out!
