ALSO HEE. Lookit them, getting along with their in-laws.

This was so weird to write, as I have been for weeks in the middle of writing Two Indians and a Baby, in which Ray's parents are on the rez in another scenario.

There's a really comedic feel to this one that I love, but this moment is so sweetly intimate I can't get past it. And to follow it with the little tag from the first scene was a perfect finish.

I am so relieved to hear that; I really was not sure about this one, because it completely breaks tone and POV for that penultimate scene. Thanks; I'm glad you liked it. <3

This one made me like the Colonel a little more. He's high-maintenance, but he came out for the ceremony. “How is this different from going to the fair?” YES. FUNNY.

Sweet stuff, too. I'm all for any story that ends with nuzzling.
