Thanks so much for this! It's beautifully hollow and sinister; Eve having her typically semi-detached view of life and death. The artificial Vegas setting is the perfect contrast, and Eve could never fit in there.

I've read this story twice and I'm still not sure how Eve was planning to get her job back via seducing Harmony, but the writing is so enjoyable that I enjoy the ambiguity, too. I've had a soft spot for Eve/Harmony since I finished S5; I think this is the first time I've seen a full-fledged fic about the pairing and it's brilliant. I love Eve's deliberateness and the detached and cool mood combined with Eve's driving focus under it all. I particularly love the sensory imagery in the last two scenes.

I figured Eve would do the same thing Hamilton did; get her into bed, then harvest the secrets she spilled. But you're right; I pretty much glossed over the actual plot part. Glad you liked the non-plot, though. Thanks!
