Jul 01, 2007 22:45

Most of the stories are in at oldschoolbtvs. And I've read several of them -- and also one of them that isn't yet posted, which is excellent -- and there's a lot of really, really good old school fic up there, so go see it.

My contribution was for southernbangel, and here it is:

TITLE: Red, Red, Red (A Sorta Fairytale)
RATING: R
PAIRING: Buffy/Angel
SPOILERS/TIMELINE: ( Read more... )

story post, buffy

Thank you. *squishes*

And, again, thanks for your awesome beta. I should have the Angela/Booth to you . . . omigod, I have no idea when; I cannot get them into bed!

*panics*

Oh, this is beautiful.

She was so almost-innocent once upon a time. Naive, at the very least. By the end of the show, she'd become so jaded. I miss *this* Buffy. I loved her most of all, I think.

Poor Angel. He was doomed from the start, wasn't he?

So well done, love. So well done.

I know. I don't even like to watch seasons six and four; who is that girl? In season five, she still has some hope, some optimism, regardless of the number of times life has beaten her down, but at the end . . . ? That's not my girl.

Thank you so much for your kind words. Feedback from you always makes me a little giddy. I'm thrilled you enjoyed this.

Oh, wow. My love, you have outdone yourself. The images are so sharp, so perfectly realized. Some of my favourite lines --

“Wolves are pack animals. It’s strange that you only saw one-”

Buffy wrinkles her brow. “Huh. Then where’s the phrase, ‘lone wolf’ come from?”

Very, very good old skool Buffy/Angel talkage. I really SAW this, felt it, breathed it. I could hear their voices, best of all. The banter is so crisp. Angel's voice so clear. Buffy's flippant attitude so heartbreaking. I love.

She is a compass; a starfish; a shining, bright diamond of the night sky.

What an absolutely GORGEOUS image. I loved "starfish". How she feels like the centre of the sky beneath his touch.

“Um . . . today we’re talking about . . .” She squints harder. It doesn’t help. “Elephants?”

So Buffy! Again, I could hear this. Spot-on dialogue, hunny.

His fingers draw small circles onto her calf, and the bruise between her legs begins to pull again.

Oh, sexy. I love the "bruise between her legs". How apt and new.

His mouth is raw with the heat and he ( ... )

Ohmygod, I'm so happy you liked this, sweetie! And you said so many nice things! Perfect things. I love knowing that I made it real for you, that you could see it; that's exactly what I try to do when I'm writing. Thank you. I'm giddy.

Oh, sexy. I love the "bruise between her legs". How apt and new. . . . That is exactly how it tastes.

I don't naturally write NC-17 almost anytime ever; NC-17 is about action, and I'm more about . . . feeling. So I try to express the feeling as close as I can without getting stale, and I'm thrilled to know that I did that for you here. This kind of story is all about details, so that these details worked for you means a lot to me.

I tend to include wolves a lot when it comes to Buffy. She is that kind of woman, isn't she?

Absolutely. And if you haven't already, read "Of the Beast" by kita0610, because that . . . that's a good Buffy/wolf scene.

If I gave you fifty cents everytime I whispered "oh, pretty" while reading your fic, not only would you have stacks and stacks of coins, you'd also get sick of hearing me say it.

She waits.

Simple and clean and fresh. I always love your endings. I might have said that already, too.

Oh, my. Absolutely beautiful, my dear. May I have it for Scribes, please? One teeny thing, though:

The way Angel looks at her, though, she knows that he’s very appreciative of the matter in which she’s splayed

Did you mean to say manner?

Thank you, sweetie! And of course you may; I'm always honored when you archive my girls at your wonderful site.

Ooh. You're right. Good eye; I'll be changing that now!
