Is there any particular reason you won't be owning season two?
Oh, don't get me wrong, I'm sure I'll be owning it; I'll just wait and ask for it for Christmas or my birthday or something, because -- yes -- cashflow ouch, especially because Psych S1 is coming out at the end of this month, and I must own it.
Just, you know, five or six dollars a month for a couple months and I will have These Girls!
Good God, the sex. And on the installment plan! You're smarter than me.
Which you already know, because you have been to the internet, gah.
Again: I laughed so hard.
I wonder if I can pay the interest on my student loans with screencaps.
I know that would really help me out a lot. "Dear Sallie Mae: I will start repaying my student loan now, just like you've been hassling me about for the past few months even though I have a year left of undergrad, if I can pay you in ficporn and picspams. xoxo"
I want to know how involved Booth is with Cullen's family, if Amy only knows him because he drops by the cancer ward (which seems unlikely, given how uncomfortable he is with what he obviously sees as Brennan's intrusion in this episode) or if he hangs around their house and maybe grills hamburgers for her.
OMIGODPERFECT. Now, of course, I cannot believe that he doesn't do that.
And I agree: Booth is really uncomfortable with having Brennan in Cullen's family's face, more uncomfortable, I think, than he would have been if it was just something that he saw as possibly jeopardizing to his job. I think this not only because of his level of discomfort, but because of the things that upset him; he's still riled even after Cullen is clearly fine with Brennan's Q&A.
he was flippant, but casual in a way that you could really *wasn't* casual about Booth
Yes! Excellent, excellent point; I knew there was a reason I liked that scene beyond, "ZOMG, Booth is arranging a playdate!" and that's definitely it; the two of them have an understated and important contrast.
and then at lunch, he was all furrowed brow of DOOM
Holy crap, can't breathe. With. The laughing.
I also liked that Booth is obviously entangled in his family life. I mentioned this earlier, but someone brought up in my Booth/Rebecca fic that she wasn't sure if Booth really had friends, and that made me excruciatingly sad, so I went in search of Hank and was vaguely consoled.
Right, I remember that point, that Booth only had army buddies? I agree with all your points; he's obviously pretty tight with Hank, and he does have a life outside his job; I submit Tessa as Exhibit A.
and she says, "I should be nicer to you," and he says, "You really should." Aww, partners.
And then she doesn't, which is where I'm frustrated. The thing is, I just adore them to puppycuddlecuteness levels when they're good, when they synch, and I get so friggin' frustrated when they fail to mesh.
Dammit, show. You're making me need therapy.
I wound up picking "Two Bodies in a Lab," though, as a result of (a) Booth being shirtless, (b) hugging, and (c) DB and Deschenel's commentary, oh my god. They're clearly insane.
Dude, I picked all those reasons, too, plus (d) beat up DB. It shouldn't turn me on, but it so does.
The Booth/Angela ficlet was so sweet! Nice job with the prompt, obviously. Heh.
Thanks! I kind of wasn't feeling that one so much, but Carla liked it, so I decided to post it somewhere other than the comments of the Bones requests post. I hope my Angela/Booth bones_alt_ships fic goes smoother, but . . . I don't know. My sex is broken, or something. Pooh.
Thank you for the rec! You are my sunshine. ♥
You're welcome! Thank you for making such awesomeness!
(P.S. Dude, have I mentioned how much I love that icon? It makes me all watching a Lifetime movie misty.)
(Unrelated: ZOMIGOD, the CSI with TJ Thyne is on! He looks so skinny!)
One of my favorite things about Booth is how good he is with children. I don't think it's just the result of him being a father, though, because I am related to people who are simultaneously fathers and horrid with children. Which is to say that I would like more Booth&Parker interaction next season, please.
I agree. And, you know, I know and totally agree, because of . . . my dad. :|
The Booth/Brennan partnership *is* really inconsistent. Enough so that I almost believe I'm watching them in the wrong order, because they'll take these big personal steps and then completely disregard them for the sake of humor in the next episode. Or, hell, the next scene. I don't know.
No, I totally agree. makd was telling me something about how the order of the shows as broadcasted and on the DVD's is not the intended order, the order as completed. If you want, I'll dig up the "correct" order for you.
(you know my icons are your icons, right? use it if you like)
Thanks! Vice versa, and also: I totally will. (Dude. DB is taking over my icons. Damn.)
01. Pilot 02. A Boy in the Tree 03. The Man in the SUV 04. A Man on Death Row 05. The Man in the Bear 06. A Boy in a Bush 07. The Man in the Wall 08. The Girl in the Fridge 09. The Man in the Fallout Shelter 10. The Woman in the Car 11. The Woman at the Airport 12. The Woman in the Tunnel 13. The Superhero in the Alley 14. The Woman in the Garden 15. The Man on the Fairway 16. Two Bodies in the Lab 17. The Man with the Bone 18. The Skull in the Desert 19. The Man in the Morgue 20. The Graft in the Girl 21. The Soldier on the Grave 22. The Woman in Limbo
Which, if you'll notice, is not a lot of eps shown in the correct order. I'm currently rewatching in this order, although it's slow going; I've only just got through the pilot.
Please excuse me; I think I'm going to go paw through your icons.

According to makd, the correct order is:
01. Pilot
02. A Boy in the Tree
03. The Man in the SUV
04. A Man on Death Row
05. The Man in the Bear
06. A Boy in a Bush
07. The Man in the Wall
08. The Girl in the Fridge
09. The Man in the Fallout Shelter
10. The Woman in the Car
11. The Woman at the Airport
12. The Woman in the Tunnel
13. The Superhero in the Alley
14. The Woman in the Garden
15. The Man on the Fairway
16. Two Bodies in the Lab
17. The Man with the Bone
18. The Skull in the Desert
19. The Man in the Morgue
20. The Graft in the Girl
21. The Soldier on the Grave
22. The Woman in Limbo
Which, if you'll notice, is not a lot of eps shown in the correct order. I'm currently rewatching in this order, although it's slow going; I've only just got through the pilot.

Please do! It's a DB lovefest in there.
Do not fight DB! He cannot be stopped.
Pfft. Like I'd put up a fight against the man. :P
