Really love how you expanded the original drabble here. This is Cordelia at her best, always in complete control of her image, no matter the cost.

Thank you so much! SunnyD and I write at, like, opposite ends of the fandom spectrum -- she writes mostly S/X -- so I was kind of freaking out when I first started looking through her library, and ended up having to choose a drabble. But I kind of like how it turned out; I'm glad you did, too.

It's betrayal again. Skip betrays her, and she doesn't see it coming. (She totally should, because Angel is all about betrayal . . . but whatevers. She was blinded by pride and the Mission.)

I cry every time I watch "You're Welcome." I hated so much of Cordelia in S4 -- well, it wasn't really Cordelia, but you know what I mean -- and "You're Welcome" was my girl back again, and the whole episode . . . omigod, it kills me.

Every time. Seriously.

I'm really glad you liked the story. Thank you.

I was away for a long weekend and am graaadually catching up on everything I missed, so sorry for a late response!

This was beautiful! Aw, Cordy. I love how you've got this sort of magical, dreamlike, storybook kind of narrative voice going on, and then every once in awhile these snappy Cordelia-isms will jump in: Honestly. It’s just plus and minus, dumbass. In what way was he a champion? Hee!

Anyway, I think this was a beautiful way to take us through Cordelia's entire journey, starting as a superficial girl and then seeing the person she gradually became through growth and experience. Awesome! I haven't read the original story yet - definitely will soon!

Welcome back! Did you have a nice weekend?

Aw, thank you; I'm so glad you liked it! I love Cordelia a lot, so it's nice to know that I did her justice.

And the original fic is a drabble, so it shouldn't take you long, hee!
