God has a warped sense of humor
We got clobbered this month: bills hit for maintenance on the cars, bills hit for hubby's cataract surgery, hubby collapsed and wound up in the hospital, bought the snow blower because of the heart problem they found, insurance company is trying to deny the claim, cruise vacation, rent of the summer cabin due Jan 1, oil burner died and had to be replaced, property taxes due the end of the month,... OK, deep breath, we'll deal. One step at a time. But what the hell, we bought a couple of tickets for the megamillions. I admit, I prayed for our numbers to hit. I don't generally bother God about such things, but even a little piece of that jackpot would have been nice.
I wasn't surprised when I heard that neither of the two winners were anywhere around here. I didn't really expect to win. I'm a math geek. I know the odds. But then I saw the couple from Washington who won. Nice people.....
