It's Friday. Call EMS.

My daughter works for an organization that runs senior housing, and over the summer, it became a running joke that every Friday they had to call EMS for someone. A bit of an exaggeration, but not much.

Today is (was) Friday. The Friday school closed for winter break. The Friday before the Sunday on which hubby and I are scheduled to fly to Florida early in the morning in preparation for a Monday cruise.

We went out to dinner tonight. As he was finishing dinner, hubby said he felt dizzy. Then he started to tremble and fainted. EMS was called. He regained and lost consciousness (and regained consciousness) several times.

We spent the evening at the ER. All tests and signs are normal. He is himself again. No reason has been found. They admitted him for observation and an echocardiagram. He didn't want to go to the ER. He definitely didn't want to stay overnight.

He desperately wants to go on this cruise. Me too. We both want them to say nothing's wrong, he's fine. But if there's no explanation for this, I'm going to be terrified to have him fly, to have him travel, especially out of the country. If they find a reason, I'm afraid they'll say he can't travel.

I really don't know what to hope for. I just want to bring him home.
