Hello!
I had a blast last night at the dareware show. I want to thank Shana, Martin and Lyndsey of Dareware, the models, all the hair and make up artists and anyone who helped in anyway.
I am sorry if I have not listed your name here but you are appreciated. I want to thank all my friends and Shana's friend's who came.
The runway show went off well and I am pleased. Shana choreographed all the models and called for the 80's dance music that went so well with everything. We had no control of what music they played afterward.
After the runway show there were to be more related events and announcements about benefit auction, but because of difficulty with the venue many events that were planned did not happen.
Among the announcements, Shana and Martin were sheduled to announce and celebrate Shana's,
Caroline's, Josh's, Brittney birthday as well as other august birthdays of Martin's friends.
We had cake with candles that we were going to light on stage and sing "happy birthday" as part of that celebration with these people for thier birthday.
Since the announcements were not made about the benefit, the auction did not do well at all since most of the crowd was not aware that it was occuring was upstairs. This would have helped FOCUS foundation where Shana works help many autistic children and adults cope with thier challenges.
For weeks Shana worked her but off coordnating two business, contacting people to donate art and items for benefit auction, driving these items to the venue from sugarland when people were unable to execute plans and much much more. Things got hectic and stressfull for her these last few weeks and she kept it all together. I am so proud of her. Shana rocks! She dit it because she really wants to help people.
This was not my event and I was not was organizer on this one. I was only a model, though I did try to help make it happen. I mainly wanted to say that I had fun and I am happy I was a part of the event.
