Prayers for my dad...
My visit with my father consisted of his having a wonderful day with me that included
his having breakfast, lunch, my taking him to the barber to get his haircut, visiting my brother Jose's grave, driving around the city of New Orleans, filling up the car with gas,
getting in line to wash the car and having him have a stroke and a heart attack
while I drove him back to his home. All the while he was holding my hand and telling
me he loved me with all of his heart. This was followed by my meeting with the family, and doctors and putting him in hospice. He lost his left side of his body's functions as a result of the event and his death is imminent.
A very long drive home. Spent the night in Tallahassee at my friends Larry and Dorothy in Shell Point, FL where I was able to relax a bit and try to make sense of all of this. Back in Albany, now.
