Maximum Ride
I saw a book today called "Maximum Ride." The tagline under the title was, and I kid you not, "School's out. FOREVER." Apparently, judging by the cover, it has something to do with motorcycling. All I know is that the person/people who came up with the title and tagline must (and I mean MUST) have time-travelled here from the eighties, because that is the ONLY way that they could possibly have thought their work to be even remotely original, or cool, or even just not embarrassing. Damn. I bet the hero in the book is a leather jacket-wearing biker named "Corey." And he's a badass but his heart is softened by his relationship with a wholesome blonde. And at the end he has to save her from the rival gang who are, to a man, large, sweaty, and gruff.
