Carlisle was the big 1-7. Yep. He was officially of age. This was something he'd taken advantage of SEVERAL times since waking up. He'd apparated, he'd hexed Cady a few times, he'd done just about everything with magic. To be perfectly honest, the novelty of doing magic outside of school grounds had not yet worn off

Anora and Hannah were looking absolutely bloody SMASHING in their swanky attire. Anora was also slightly making fun of the fact that Carlisle was so concerned about pureblood segregation, so by dressing up in the Muggle 40's era she felt like not ONLY was she feeling ridiculously brilliant, but they also felt like they were sticking it to the Man...just a little bit.

"So, my dear," Nora said, running a hand over her pressed curls in a very swanky manner. "When do you think a good time to start busting out our hats would be? Probably a bit later, I'd say, after everybody gets a chance to wonder why we're dressed like this," she grinned. They were carrying around martini glasses filled with some very strong-tasting alcohol that Anora had found in the wine cellar at home. She'd been unable to read the label, as it was in some foreign language, but from what she knew about alcohol she was thinking it was some sort of Russian vodka. Absolutely FANTASTIC.

"Cheers!" she said to her best mate, clinking their glasses together before taking another sip. "And now, we shall find the food!"

Hannah was feeling super swanky as well, though she just liked the outfits and really didn't care that certain people weren't allowed at the party. As long as Nora was coming, everything was fine. That and she was pretty used to how Carlisle thought so she was already over it.

"Yeah, definitely after the food. And we really need to start jivin' with this party, honey. Maybe get a little sauced," she said as she clinked her glass with Anora's. The mention of food perked her up as they headed to wherever the food was. "If there's no good food, I know where the ice cream is. I've got pull at this house... sort of."

"You're right on the nose with that one. This party's going to get wacky, I can tell," she said as she looked around at the other guests. Especially if Rowan and Celeste got completely drunk. Wouldn't that be a sight to see..

"Ice cream would be ace, that way we can avoid those two broads over there for a little while longer," she said, looking over in the two older girls' direction. "But I must say, we're looking much more spivvy than them. They're probably going to run into us eventually,"

"We'd better get all our 40s slang out before we get too... sauced." Hannah repeated a word of slang that she'd just spoken. "Dang it, I'm all out of slang!" She followed Anora's gaze to see Rowan and Celeste and listened to what Anora said about how they looked much more spivvy than them. Hannah laughed obnoxiously and agreed. "Natch, they're probably going to be busy being all hincty all night. We'll have to bring them down a few pegs."

They strolled past Rowan and Celeste, Hannah smiled in their direction before flipping her hair a bit. "You know, I really wish that Derek and Taylor could have come with us. They would look great in fedoras, don't you think?"

"Good idea," Nora nodded, taking a thoughtful sip out of her martini. "Fear not! I think between the two of us we've got the most resourceful vernacular of forties slang I've ever laid my peepers on."

Anora winked at the two girls as they passed by, looking SOGOOD. "Oh, I KNOW. It would have been the greatest thing ever. Especially if they had some sort of peacock feather in them," she said, laughing.

"Agreed," Hannah nodded as the two of them arrived at the food. Anora was so right. About everything. Ever. She started to snack on some carrot sticks as she surveyed the room.

"You know what? I think Gabe mentioned stopping by. Isn't that great?"

By this point, Rowan was past too far gone to the point of embarrassingly drunk and slightly ridiculous. So when she spotted Hannora walk by, she decided it would be great to have chat with them.

"Why helllloo beautiful ladies!" she said rather loudly, as she swung around to face them. She grinned wildly. She looked at Hannah and tried to act all nonchalant (and failed) when she asked, "So... is your brother stopping by?" No sooner had the words left her mouth, when the door opened and in walked Gabriel Salix. Damn. It was like he had a sixth sense! Rowan was impressed.

Well she was quite impressed, until she realized that she was in fact ridiculously drunk, and having Gabe see her in such a manner was not cool. She needed to hide. FAST.

Looking between Hannora panic stricken, she flailed her arms a bit. "Distract him while I hide!!" she cried just before she bolted towards the opposite side of the room.

Anora exchanged amused expressions with Hannah before the door burst open in a dramatically BOOMING fashion (not really, but her half-sauced mind made it so,) and Hannah's brother walked in.

She was going to call him over in an obnoxiously loud manner, but she could save her OUTSIDE VOICE for later. For now she was happy trying to keep the forties VOCAB in her head. As Rowan went flailing away she looked over at Hannah once more and said, "Absolutely bonkers, that one." For some reason she raised her glass in a toast of what she'd just said and took another drink. Really she was just looking for any excuse to drink up.

Hannah was definitely amused by Rowan and her strange antics. She happily toasted Anora's statement, possibly because she was also already in a 'drink up' mood as well. Plus, her brother was here so that was always good!

"Gabe!" Hannah called her brother over to say hello to him. It wasn't so much to distract him for Rowan as much as it was to visit with her brother whom she hadn't seen since their big fight. Which she was completely over now because of the alcohol and it was her brother so of course she'd forgive him.

"It's so good to see my dang brother! How are you?"

Gabe was happy to see his sister and Anora. Despite the fact that it seemed as though she'd decided to dress up in some weird costume again. Hannah and Anora were always dressing up, it was normal for them.

Dang brother...?

He ignored that and nodded to both Hannah and Anora, hugging his sister. "So why don't you two tell me what the theme is for this party? Because..." he studied what they were wearing, "I don't even have a guess!"

Nora grinned at Hannah once more before she spotted Gabe heading their way and waved. "Well hey!" she said to him. "We're not really sure what the theme for this party is, so we decided to spruce up and make our OWN theme. Pretty ritzy, yeah?"

Could they GET any swankier tonight? She thought not. Well, maybe if their boyfriends were accompanying them ALSO dressed to fit the scene they would achieve 110% SPIVV. But for the time being she was happy to finish her martini in STYLE. She downed the rest in one sip, just because she COULD.
