Plotline updated.
Came up with this loooooooovely storyline for a The Mentalist fic! :D It has some Medieval time plotline, so it seems kind of hard to write out. D: Got the characters down , mostly. I guess... Posting it up, so I can iron out the details and to get feedback. :D I don't have much knowledge about the Medieval times, so I could use some help there. :) Don't think I'll be fully working on a fic though. :\ I MISS WRITING!
Patrick Jane - Royalty of sorts. His fiancée was murdered, his throne taken away from him. He vowed to get revenge for his wife on the murderer called Red John. He now helps out at the village inn, together with the whole group. Jane tends to slack around the inn, waiting for Lisbon to push him to do something helpful in the inn. He earns some extra money by selling glass which he made and posing as a fake psychic/ fortune-teller.
Teresa Lisbon - Personal maid to Patrick Jane when he was still the prince. She hangs out with Cho and Rigsby during her free time, practicing her archery. She hangs out with Van Pelt too. She escaped from the attack on the castle, thanks to Cho, together with Van Pelt on horseback. She’s now somewhat running the inn together with Minelli. She mainly down at the reception and does the housekeeping. Still in charge of Jane, she has to balance her work and keeping him on a tight leash.
Kimball Cho - Knight. Being the best friend of Lisbon and Rigsby, he practices archery with Lisbon and trains alongside with Rigsby. He doesn’t speak much to people apart from his ring of friends. He managed to save Jane and Lisbon from the attack. Now he is a marshal at the inn, delivers goods from the grocers and occasionally helps Rigsby out with the physical work around the inn.
Wayne Rigsby - Knight. Close friends with Cho, Lisbon and Van Pelt, who he has taking a liking for. During his free time, he likes to stay in the kitchen to watch Van Pelt work, also to eat whatever food there is. He pulled Van Pelt out from the kitchen which was in flames during the attack. After the attack on the castle, he took up a job with the local blacksmith to earn some extra money. He helps out with the laborious work at the inn like fixing up tables and chopping firewood.
Grace Van Pelt - Castle cook. She came to know Lisbon and gang when she had accidentally got injured while picking herbs to prepare dinner that day and stumbled upon the archery practice grounds. Cho was grateful he didn’t have as accurate an aim as Lisbon. She enjoys baking little tidbits for her friends, especially Rigsby, who gobbles them up. She was trapped in the burning kitchen during the attack and was saved by Rigsby. She became in charge of the kitchen at the inn too.
Virgil Minelli - Butler. He was the main caretaker of Jane after his parents died years ago. Having seen Jane grow up, he knows Jane the best and thus assigns Lisbon as his personal maid during the period when the engagement had been settled. He had been seriously injured during the attack on the castle and died before Lisbon and the rest could get help.
Madeleine Hightower - Innkeeper who takes in the battered group of survivors. She holds Jane in high regard, and allows him to wander off during his working hours. She expects the rest of the group, especially Lisbon, to pick up after Jane, seeing as he was the prince after all.
Red John - Rebel against the rule of Patrick Jane. He decided to overthrow Jane’s rule and launched an attack on the castle with a group of rebels. He decided to kill Jane’s fiancée as a display of what he can do and also to show Jane what his rule had brought upon the people. He is aware that Patrick Jane managed to escape, but appears to not have made any move against the surviving prince.
Managed to get Hightower in too! :) I decided to kill off Minelli from the fic,because I was wondering on how to fit both Hightower and him into the inn scenario and couldn't really work around Minelli being seriously injured and all. ... HEY, MAYBE I SHOULD DRAG BOSCO IN JUST FOR FUN AND KILL HIM OFF DURING THE ATTACK TOO. Should I bring Bosco in? :\
