Ivan Is Here!
Just trying to survive Ivan. At the beginning of the week I started hearing it was coming this way, but I didn't really believe it because Frances was supposed to but of course we still had school! Well Monday night I went to tumbling for the first time in about three weeks because I've been so busy with school. My day to go was Wednesday, leaving right after church, but all my teachers seemed to love giving tests on Thursday so I had to get that changed. So while I was at tumbling, my parents went out to prepare for this hurrican that was supposedly coming, but everywhere seemed to be out of whatever you need for hurricanes. So Tuesday was just school, nothing special I guess. Well, yesterday I had an AP History test which is always so much fun and it was progress report day. All day we were sitting around waiting to see if we'd have school; I wasn't very hopeful of getting out since we didn't for Frances. During 6th period Mrs. Combs got an email from Dr. Williams saying that she'd announce whether or not we'd have school for the rest of the week at 2:30 but at the end of the email it said "See you on Monday unless you hear otherwise." So we were pretty sure we were out, and sure enough, at 2:30 there was an announcement over the intercom saying that we'd be back on Tuesday!! Whoo hoo!! We weren't supposed to have SLAM last night at church, but we talked Tim into it. It was a Lanett-Happy Valley thing. It was fun...Caitlin, Chase, and Shaun led music and Bobert talked. ANd of course we went to El Rio afterwards, and too many people I know were there!! I woke up this morning and it didn't look like much bad weather had come through but around 11:00 we lost power but for an hour. But for that hour I was bored outta my mind...I colored pictures!
