In my defense, a lot of voters did not vote *for* anybody either.
Not really. An awful lot of voting is voting *against* something or somebody else.

If you're a Partisan, you see your candidate as the Messiah and the opposing candidate as The Anti-Christ.

That's how American politics has worked pretty much ever since I started paying attention to politics. Every Leap Year November, we Americans get to choose between two bowls of shit.
If you say "If you don't vote, you can't complain!" I hear "Well, if you didn't want the bowl of horse shit you should have gotten the bowl of dog shit."
Going third-party? Batshit.
A closing agent voted before work. Admitted he wrote in his father for President after deciding against writing in a co-worker for President. So even some of the voters didn't do anything meaningful, either.
