Is The Time The Right Time?

So, while showering this fine morning I began to think about timing and the significance of it. Sure, milestones on our lives could be timed perfectly - like I'll have my first child by the time I am 28. (side note - that's not what I'm thinking, but any how) But what about timing of occurrances. Some things such as child birth can be planned while other things seem to pop up whenever they please.

For example your talking about someone and than the minute you are through they walk by. People talk about the fact that the person's ears were burning but I see it as some form of a reminder or threat! Careful what you say because you never know who's going to be around.

Another example your downtown with some friends and you see your best friend's girlfriend or boyfriend with someone else. The crazy part is you didn't even want to go to that bar in the first place - as a matter of fact the only reason you're there is because the bar you usually go to is backed so you were forced to try something new.

Now, the point of this entry is not to talk about what to do in these situations, make judgments on whether or not you are a good person , or even to argue about the essence of them but to simply think about timing. Are these acts of coincidence avoidable or destined? After all half the time they place you in situations that you wish had never occurred. They make you question who you are and whether or not the life you are living is "right." I cannot count the number of times my mouth has gotten me into trouble and although our blabbering mouths seem to be a part of human nature because EVERYONE talks these run ins make you question whether or not you should talk. After they occur I find myself saying - damit Car you really need to keep your mouth shut - focus on the positive - remain on course. At the same time we always find ourselves in another run in or coincidence that leaves us in the very same place we were before. It's as if these mistakes or slips keep happening and although you want to desperatly learn from them you never do.

So, are these "coincidences" just random acts - you know maybe the stars just were not in your favor on Tuesday or are they some how destined - just waiting to bite you in the ass? Guess we'll never know!
