This is Tucker:

Tucker is our Cairn Terrier Puppy, approximately 9 months old. He's a fair bit bigger than he was in this picture, but he's still quite a small dog.
On Friday night, my parents were out at camp with Tucker. He chewed through a lamp cord and was electrocuted.
His heart stopped. He was dead.. until my dad massaged his chest until his heart started beating again.
Tucker has a pretty bad burn on his mouth. The vet said he was lucky that the burn didn't go into his teeth and bones. He had some fluid in his lungs, which is typically of an electric shock, so we have him on a diuretic.
All of the veterenary staff are calling Tucker the miracle puppy. Apparently, they just took a course on CPR for dogs. The only times you can revive a dog with CPR is if they have being electrocuted, or drowned.
Tucker is not quite as hyper as he usually is, but he was out chasing bunnies yesterday morning. He's such a trooper. You can tell he's in pain, yet he still brought my mom his ball to throw when he got home from the vet.
Anyway, my dad is now the family hero. Heh. Uncle Billy said he'd never be able to look at my dad as a big tough guy anymore after knowing that he determinedly massaged Tucker's chest until Tucker started breathing again.
That's pretty heroic in my book too. :)
