Summer's been great. i kinda believe in the "skip-a-year" pattern of my life. Good summer, bad summer, good summer, etc. :)
Fortunately this summer was truly a good summer. I got to take painting, drums, dance, geom and LnK. Aside from that, there were surprises that I never saw coming (hehe, and most came in the form of homo sapiens). :)
Another happy thing is that FUN didn't happen at the expense of PRODUCTIVITY :) At the end of the summer we have a strong/very reasonable contender for the possible prom venue (Wack-wack but not 100% sure, batch still has to vote :), a breath-taking theme (surprise first :) with the help of the professionals- Balay Kandila, and team of people I am honored to work with- PROM CORE! :)
Summer's over, but there's nothing to be sad about cause I can't wait for even more surprises to come and keep me going in third year. :)
1. Never ever dare touch the computer after I've done all my work. (This is just the nice way of telling me that I won't touch it at all :). Of course, exceptions if I have to use it for school work.
2. Be sure to aim for A's too in seemingly unimportant subjects (think gantsillo for THE, table tennis for PE, long test for music, etc). I found out just last year that the grades in the minor subjects are factored in the ranking system. I've been looking at college applications and they specifically ask for your batch rank, which is why I must not take these subjects for granted. :)
3. Get my first A in Filipino. Kailan, kailan kaya ako magiging makata? :)
4. Try to be active in CMA and serve during the morning mass. Or at least hear mass. I was pretty active in 1st year, but during 2nd year, I just didn't go as much due to work, laziness and all my other unjustified excuses. God has given me so much in terms of great surprises. It's just right that I spare some time for Him, too. :)]
5. Master multi-tasking. 10 minutes for vocabulary words. 15 minutes for math problems. 10 minutes for matterloading. What's 35 minutes of a 24 hour day? :)
6. Learn to put my life on hold. Despite the pressure, stress and focus, this is highschool!!! I think I'm entitled to even just a little fun. :) I will also be more open for the other "non-academic possibilities". I hope no one got what that meant. Hehe.
