I've been dreaming about my trip to Wales ever since December. Now that it's exactly one week away, I can't help but feel nostalgic and excited at the same time. For one thing, I know I'll really miss my team. Tomorrow will be our last formal team training with Sharms. No more bonding sessions in the Mangahas Residence. No more comforting each other after a bad day. No more hiding from our coaches in the dark, pretending there's no one to train. No more balyenas. I know that I'll still see them in IDeAs and all but we'll all be debating for different institutions against each other. Another, this would be my first and possibly last Worlds Team. I 'm not sure if I'm debating this school year, let alone trying out for Team South Korea 2007. I know this experience can never be duplicated.
I once thought that getting a chance to travel abroad is the best part of Worlds. Now I know that having crazy (in a good way) teammates and being part of a team means more to me than seeing even the most beautiful part of the world.
Hehe, ang senti... Bottomline: No matter what happens in the competition (break or no break, whether we lose all the rounds, whether we win), I'll never ever trade my team for anything else.
