Well, I'm a very slow thinker, but I've find at last that one jazz singer that will be forever conected with fabulous Vienna and the magic of Austria - Grace Jones. She is american jazz woman. Her concert was shown on the most fabulous evening in Vienna, and probably in my life ever - it was a Film Festival on the Rathaus Platz, where Vienna people ( Read more... )

When I was in Vienna 4 years ago we spent almost every night at the film festival! I loved it!

I had no idea that she was a jazz singer...I know her mostly from acting...and that primarily coming from the 1985 James Bond film A View to a Kill.

That is ridiculus, but we spent only the last evening at that festival. becouse we always were too late free in the city to enjoy the festival. I'm sorry about it anyway.

I haven't heard about her till that evening. But she is amasing woman.

The film festival was only a few blocks from our hostel/hotel, so we'd all go down there, listen to the music, snack, and drink. It was sooo fun.

I've seen film of many concerts, usually classical ones, that have taken place in that square. It's a gorgeous place.

I'm glad you have such a fulfilling memory of your time in Vienna.

This is something I would like to take you to one day.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Glastonbury_Festival It happens every year very close to where I live and is the largest cultural event in Europe. I am proud to say that I have been many times, though not since 2003, so it's about time I went along again. And I'm sure you would love it. :))

That is such an amasing place. I have very good memories of me Vienna visit - they consist not only of places I've visited and photos I've taken but also of music and sounds and also tastes and smells of that city. It is such a full impression.

That seems to be an amusing event and a huge fun. I've never been to such kind of open-air festivals and I'm willing very much to see that. I hope one day we'll be able to enjoy that)
