I just started reading Sex, Drugs, and Coco Puffs by Chuck Klosterman and... wow.
I'm on page 4, and he's already explained how Lloyd Dobler made fulfilling romantic love impossible for people of our generation and declared Coldplay to be, "absolutely the shittiest fucking band I've ever heard in my entire fucking life."
Actually, his premise is one I agree with. Hollywood's portrayal of love in movies, (and crappy emo songs) or "fake love" as Klosterman calls it, has messed up our expectations so we don't know "real love" when we find it, and even then it's unfulfilling.
Although, as I said, I'm only on page 4.
