I hardly post anymore, so I wanted to post about last Friday, but I only got my photos today.
Last Friday I went to check out 3 doors down at Shepherds Bush Empire. I got the tickets right at the last minute, meaning i ended up going on my larry into London. I spent 2 hours in the queue and durring that time managed to blag to cans of strongbow from the people i was standing with.
Anyway we got let in at & on the dot, and went to spend stupid ammounts of money on the merchandise stand (which everyone who knows me, knows i always look like the thing exploded over me by the time i finish). Yet this time all I came back with was a DVD.
The first support guy kicked things. Only 5 songs, one was a medly of Stairway to Heaven and No Woman No Cry and he finished singing a song about his grandma getting high.
The second support band were cool, though for some reason they all had mic stands. The frontman was cool, he jumped off a tower of speakers, shock some girl in the front row to try and get her to enjoy the band, and then i got this cool photo of him singing next to me in the crowd.
When they finished I'd worked my way to second row of the of the crowd for 3 Doors Down. Two things you should know about this band. In America they are huge, rediculously huge. They have 6 number 1 singles and are about to do a co-headlining tour with Lynard Skynard. Despite their success, they are not the prettiest bunch of people. They came out playing one of their heavier songs, here's the guitarist playing the solo:
Yet it was the ballads that got the biggest crowd movement. Durring one of the later songs there were 3 circle pits! Hence by the end of the night i was no where near the 2nd row. But here are some more pictures i got b4 i was crushed to death:
All In all it was an awsome night. I'd urge people download some of their stuff as it's pretty good
