A real post from me!
Dear friendlies and other delightful people,
So I have been meaning to blog for a while -- since New Years to be precise. But since I've ended up waiting so long a whole bunch of other interesting things have happened so it would take forever to write about them all. So here is the cliff note version of my adventures
We had a great time at my Parents 30th wedding anniversary party/ Jewish wedding
No photos of the ceremony currently available ('cause I was in it) but our long time friend Amy was there with her family and baby.
New Year's Eve was absolutely wacko
Rachel, David and I flew back from VA on New Year's Eve. We went to lunch at a yummy place in Santa Monica and while we were there I ran into the actor Robert Leonards of Hero and Buffy fame. I'm such a dork, but he took a picture with me and shook my hand
It was soooo cool!
Then we took Rachel to see the La Brea Tar pits
And then, after taking steps against a moth infestation that had invaded my cupboard, we had a flat tire on the way to my friend Andrea's house for New Years dinner.
While we were stopped people with La Canada's Rose Parade float, which was on it's way to Pasadena, gave us flowers.
And then after changing the tire we got stuck behind the very same rose parade float going 2 miles an hour down the same streets that we were driving and had to give up on the idea of actually getting to Andrea's house for New Year's. However we did manage to make it to Fuji, my favorite sushi place which knows me by name (they even have a Sarah roll). We had dinner and then went to bed early.
We had a great time watching the Rose Parade the next day
Rachel, my cousin Tavi and I went camping in Yosemite
They were predicting the biggest snow event in 30 years (plus rain for the rest of the region) so we bailed and toured Hollywood for the rest of our vacation.
Are we moving?
Well that is an awful good question. David is graduating this summer and has already applied for lots of jobs(2 in the LA area the rest on both coasts). He is on the short list for a couple of places but no offers yet. So stay tuned.
