i'd like to point out that trees are natural carbon filters, and that humans are deforesting the planet at a rapid rate.

humans are also continuing to multiply their own numbers at a skyrocketing rate--in spite of lower fertility rates in many industrial areas, presumably due to toxins that we create and accumulate in our bodies, including the mercury in our lightbulbs, tuna fish, vaccines, etc...

but i digress. my first solution is: PLANT TREES!

lots of 'em! and make 'em native trees if you can, to support endangered species! and while you're at it, PLANT a wide variety of NATIVE PLANTS THAT SUPPORT HONEYBEES, and GET RID OF PESTICIDE. because honeybees are currently dying off at an alarming rate, and are almost exclusively responsible for pollinating our food plants. agriculture is in big trouble. have you heard about the region in china where there are no more honeybees? this is thought to be due to monoculture (only pears there and probably few varieties) and heavy pesticide use.

my second solution is: STOP HAVING BABIES!

there are plenty of humans on the planet already. adopting kids is a good idea, there are lots that need parents.
