y'all lost out.
So who got lots of free stuff at the Knit Out? That's right, Carin and Sarah got lots of free stuff at the Knit Out.
The loot included over a dozen skeins of free yarn, some bamboo 17's, a crochet hook, a 'Clover' pin, a huge bag which has 'grocery bag' written all over it, and a pile of free patterns (only half were any good, but hell... it was FREE!!)
We also saw a "fashion show" of a lot of knitted pieces that we had a good time making fun of. Unfortunately we missed the dog sweater fashion show (which sounded like a hoot).
Then we did a wee bit of shopping (something I haven't done in YEARS) and I found two pairs of work-suitable pants, a hoodie to go with my running pants and two pairs of shoes: some black sandals and sassy pair of patent leather pumps... everything on sale, and all things I had on my 'someday I need to get around to getting this' list. Sarah got a nice new pair of pants, also on sale.
Then we had dinner at Ruby Tuesday, and I only ate half of my avocado bacon turkey burger (which was a good as it sounds...), so I have lunch tomorrow as well.
Overall it was a successful afternoon.
